It had been months now, and London remained. The mist hadn't rolled back in, they hadn't all been dragged back to the icy beaches, and life was normal. ...Sort of. ...At least for the people who'd started in London. For others it was like being dumped somewhere new again, forced to either try and make their way home, or build a new life in a new city.

(OTA! London is here to stay, though the mist is still lurking, waiting to creep back in now and then.)

"And I think you look great too. Dead sexy. But..."

He sighed.

"Risks, yeah? Just sit still and let me have a look at you before the doc comes in, yeah?"

"Want to play doctor?" Fin replied, wiggling his brows a bit, then sighing and flopping back against the pillow. "Poke and prod your heart out, dear."

"Don't be cheeky you little wank," Hex chuckled. He took a look at Fin's arms and ankles, pushed his trousers up to see his knees. There wasn't a sign of anything, not a bruise or even a scuff.

"You look fine to me. I'll let the doctor know and when he comes in I'd bet he discharges you right way. A&E is for traumas, yeah," he said, giving FIn a sweet half smile.

Fin smiled softly in return, fidgeting with the gadget on his finger.

"You off soon? We could have a night in. I won't be back on set until tomorrow around noon."

Hex looked at the clock on the wall and shrugged.

"Hour and a half barring any codes that keep me here," he said. Sometimes he didn't get home on time because of a major trauma. Not often, but there were car wrecks and industrial accidents and the odd shooting or stabbing sometimes.

"A night in sounds nice."

"Perhaps we could indulge a little. Play a bit, I mean, then recover with telly and wine?" the fae asked hopefully. They hadn't gotten very adventures since reconnecting, but Fin had been itching too.

"Mmm, you're making me want to leave early," he said as he took Fin's blood pressure one more time, watching the monitor the entire time.

If nothing else, even for all the banter, Hex was focused on his job. He gave Fin the same care he would give anyone.

"There's something I've not shown you yet. This trunk of, um, props," he said, not wanting to be overheard. Though before he could say more the doctor walked in.

"Mr. Flynn, I've heard you took a bit of a tumble on set today," the man said, wandering over and picking up his chart.

Hex's look in Fin's eyes spoke volumes. Definitely tempted. But for the doc he was all business, rattling of vitals and exam results.

"...No bruising, no acute pain. I think this is just an American cover-your-arse thing," Hex said.

The doctor gave Fin a cursory once over, touching his knees and his elbows, pressing his belly.

"I think we can release you without worry," the doctor said. "But if you have any further symptoms, do come back and see us."

Normally he might spend a bit more time but it was clear Fin was just fine and Hex had done all the hard work. Best to just let him go.

"Will do," Fin promised, looking relieved when the doctor told him he could sign himself out and that he'd leave the paperwork with his manager.

Once they were alone again, he smiled.

"I'll be at home then. ...Waiting," he added, wetting his lips with a flick of his tongue. He wanted to give Hex a hug, but he knew better. This was the other man's job after all. It's not like Hex would give him a snog on set. They had to be professional sometimes.

"I just bet you will be," Hex replied with a dirty smile. There was a heat in his eyes as he leaned in.

"I expect things to be ready when I get home. I don't want to wait. Take care of it, Fin," he purred in the man's ear.
