GP - London Calling
Mar. 15th, 2019 07:26 pmIt had been months now, and London remained. The mist hadn't rolled back in, they hadn't all been dragged back to the icy beaches, and life was normal. ...Sort of. ...At least for the people who'd started in London. For others it was like being dumped somewhere new again, forced to either try and make their way home, or build a new life in a new city.
(OTA! London is here to stay, though the mist is still lurking, waiting to creep back in now and then.)

Date: 2019-03-16 11:45 pm (UTC)He found Saturnalia just as he left it, as if hardly any time had passed at all. His manager had things well under control, welcomed him back, and he immediately began preparations to throw an epic welcome back party.
Though in the meantime, he enjoyed the opportunity to be his old self again. Tonight he stood by the bouncer at the door of the club, greeting newcomers himself, and occasionally handing out shots that one of the bartenders would periodically come out and supply him with, on a gilded tray.

Date: 2019-03-17 09:13 am (UTC)Trapped between the daughter of rock royalty and some DJ he listened to the others chatter as they hauled him away from the line and straight over to the velvet rope. Apparently they didn't wait in lines, and neither did he now. It wasn't until they were about to head in that Fin realized he recognized a face, and he politely pardoned himself from the group to say hello.
"Robin!" he smiled, looking a bit relieved.

Date: 2019-03-17 01:39 pm (UTC)He realized that he didn't know... well, which Fin this was. After all, they were back in London. He also didn't know how to ask.
"You're here!" he added.

Date: 2019-03-17 03:34 pm (UTC)"Yours now," he said. "I'm starting to think we may be back for good."
A beautiful woman in a dress so bare it barely constituted clothing came up to them and whispered in Robin's ear. His lips turned into a satisfied smile, and he handed her one of the shot glasses from the tray before she headed into the club.
He turned his attention back to Fin. "Wait, so this means you've never been here, right? Welcome to Saturnalia."

Date: 2019-03-17 06:55 pm (UTC)"Do you want a shot?" He picked up one of the glasses off the tray and shot it back. "It's top shelf tequila." Though before Fin could answer, Robin grabbed his hand. "And come in, I'll show you around."

Date: 2019-03-17 09:05 pm (UTC)Fin was happy to be led along, his gaze lingering on a half-naked man at the bar before returning to Robin and the scene all around them.
"It's loud in here," he noted, the music rattling through him as they wove through Robin's adoring patrons.

Date: 2019-03-17 09:40 pm (UTC)Another half naked and very glittery man gave them both an obvious once-over from where he was dancing nearby, and smirked in obvious approval before running his hands over his body seductively.
"You like it though?" Robin asked Fin, still watching the man.

Date: 2019-03-25 01:14 pm (UTC)The pixie had spent the morning busking, his keyboard now tucked away in a pink rolling bag that he pulled behind him. The wheels made a satisfying sound as they rolled over the cracks in the pavement, and the pale creature had a slight bounce in his step as he made his way to the coffee shop that sold the most chocolate of caffeinated drinks.
Just outside the little cafe, Philip appeared. The plump budgie seemed to scold the pixie for a long moment, then landed neatly on his shoulder.
"You can't come in, Philip. They don't like birds," Winter said gently, lifting the bird off his shoulder. Philip started chirping again, looking agitated.
"Well sometimes you can't just do what you want. Sometimes things are just rubbish, alright?" the pixie sighed, placing the bird carefully on a nearby bush.
Philip fluttered his wings and chattered louder, but Winter only sighed.
"I am still fun, I just know things now," the pixie said softly. "I'm an adult now. A grown pixie."
Philip seemed upset then, and made an angry little sound before taking off. Winter watched him go. Suddenly he didn't care about his caffeinated chocolate treat- A beer sounded much more fitting.

Date: 2019-03-25 11:42 pm (UTC)The scene was a bit more athletic than Fin had anticipated, but he supposed a pilot for a detective series would involve a certain amount of running. They'd closed off half the street, but he could still see onlookers behind the tape just out of shot as he took off, his pursuer hot on his heels and the camera steadily tracking them both.
At the end of the street was a soft patch of grass where he was supposed to be tackled, and he tried not to tense up this time as they neared the grassy area and his fellow actor artfully took him down onto the soft patch of earth. It looked flawless, but as soon as he heard the word 'cut' Fin allowed the pain he was in to show.
"Fuck," he swore softly.
"Shit, sorry Fin. I didn't hurt you, did I?" Richard asked.
Richard Vesting was a handsome man, recently in his forties with striking green eyes and a warm smile. He'd never really broken through, but he was one of those faces you saw in everything, and Fin had always been terribly fond of him. Working with him was a bit of a dream come true.
"No, I think I'm just a bit of a delicate wreck, Rich," Fin assured him, sitting up and then going still as pain shot up his spine. "Think I've managed to bruise something."
"Can we get a medic on set?" he heard someone call.
He was about to protest, but Richard shook his head. "Don't bother, it's an insurance thing. Come on, I'll help you into a chair in the meantime."
An on set medic turned into a trip to A&E, but Fin managed to slip outside onto the street for a quick smoke. Inside the waiting room he could see someone from the production team harassing a nurse, and someone from his management instructing security to keep an eye on him- Presumably to keep him safe and not because they thought he was planning to toddle down to the pub.

Date: 2019-03-26 01:37 am (UTC)House's tone was dry, but he looked amused as he limped out of the front door to join Fin. When he'd heard the gossip he'd been worried at first, but by the time a nurse said she'd just seen him outside smoking, he'd figured it couldn't be anything serious.
"You know, we frown upon cancer sticks here," he added, and took out a pill bottle to pop two vicodin.

Date: 2019-03-26 01:46 am (UTC)"They said I can't go until I get my head looked at. The insurance company demands paperwork," he sighed. "One tiny bump on the head, but they're acting like I took a spill out of a moving car or something. ...Don't suppose you can smuggle me out, can you?"

She frowned, and looked at Fin. "You're scheduled for a cat scan, Mr. Flynn."

Date: 2019-03-26 02:25 am (UTC)His manager simply held her hands up. "Its a coproduction with an American company, Fin. They're asking for paperwork, you're obligated to provide it."
The fae rolled his eyes then sighed. "Fine, but I want my GP there for it. If I'm getting shoved in a tube I at least get to have your best man looking over the results," he insisted. Though what he really wanted was Greg's company.

Date: 2019-03-26 02:54 am (UTC)"So how'd you fall anyway?" House asked Fin as they walked.
