Post Apocalyptic London Plotting

There will be a canon radio station that is being broadcast from an old radio tower. The playlist can be found here. It's run in game by Alwyn.

Your First Bi-Weekly News Dump
May. 24th, 2019 06:17 amprince_of_nymphsBig News: On the first of June I'll be taking down the wiki. With the game being back in London a lot of the info is now not needed, and wiki upkeep feels like a lot of work for our small game. I'm leaving it until June so you can all grab anything from there you want before it goes. In it's place I only ask you pop some basic info into your journal profile.
Minor Updates: I'm going to put a poll up over the weekend to see what big game wide plot everyone wants to to try next. However, I think we'll wait until July to actually play out our next big event.

GP - London Calling

The mist hadn't rolled back in, they hadn't all been dragged back to the icy beaches, and life was normal. ...Sort of. ...At least for the people who'd started in London. For others it was like being dumped somewhere new again, forced to either try and make their way home, or build a new life in a new city.
(OTA! London is here to stay, though the mist is still lurking, waiting to creep back in now and then.)

December Plotting Post
Nov. 13th, 2018 10:36 amprince_of_nymphs As mentioned in slack, the plot for December is going to be something new! Every pup (who wishes to play) will be transported to an important event in their life. It can be from their past, or their future, whatever you think will be the most rewarding to play with. There they will be forced to live through the event before being hauled back to the mainland.
Sometime during the last week of November a gathering post will go up, from there each top level will be your pup and their event. Multiple players can then tag that event/TL, allowing it to play out several different ways. While this is happening our pups will have no idea that multiple versions of events are playing out, but after the plot is over, they will remember all of them.
The optimal execution of this event involves many threads and multiple people tagging the top level events, this will take quite some time. For that reason it will run from November 24th until sometime in early January. Hopefully such a wide time-frame will make it possible for us all to take on multiple threads with multiple players.
This post can be used to lay out what you intend to do with your pup, to plot with other players, or even ask for advice if you're not sure what event you'd like to drag your pup through!

She's drunk, she's rude, she's traumatized, and she's stylish as all hell. If you haven't watched Twin Peaks: The Return yet....well, I don't know what to tell you. David Lynch is my god. Happy Mistmas
Dec. 12th, 2017 02:48 pmmist_modsWith the holiday season approaching The Mist will be lifting for the first time to reveal.... Victorian London. Not historical London, however, with its smelly streets and looming consumption, but a storybook version of Victorian London. Like something from a picture book or whimsical film, this 'London' will always be dusted with snow and looking beautiful.
What your pups will see: The Mist will lift just beyond the edge of the Dark Woods, revealing what looks like Big Ben poking out above the treeline and a condensed (about nine blocks) version of London. A clear path will materialize leading from the mainland to the condensed city, which will be full of NPCs, landmarks, and various shops and bars.
What your pup can do: Anything, within reason. Shops will be packed with things they might want, however to purchase them they'll need to get a part time job of some sort. More devious pups may resort to theft, but could run the risk of spending the holiday behind bars! Basically, if you can dream it, and it fits with this theming, you can play it out!
Things worth noting: 'London' will permanently be slightly snowy, but the rest of the mainland will continue to reflect the weather displayed in the widget on the front page of the wiki.
When does it start? Right now! :D
Will there be a GP? Yes! Expect a GP set at The Dome to be posted on Christmas Eve! However, don't let that stop you from posting EPs! I know we're all excited to see what everyone's pups will get up to!

Preparing For Launch!
Nov. 10th, 2017 07:38 pmhelloplizzyIf you've been keeping an eye on the wiki, you know that tomorrow is launch day for The Mist! For launch you can look forward to a gathering style post that will be open for as long as needed, and will span at least a week in game time. What does that mean, and how does that benefit you, the player? Well, for starters it means we can all jump in right away, without having all our pups show up on the same day. You could, if you wanted, have them all show up on Saturday, but if you'd like to space it out, you could time one top level to Monday or Wednesday (while still posting it on the Saturday if you'd like). It also means new top levels can filter in after launch, and offers more reasons to check back in with the post often!
With the game launching tomorrow, you should also be sure to have everything ready to go with your pups (it's not too late to change up your roster or jump into the game!! Make sure you've joined both communities, create and fill out wiki pages with at least basic information (you can always fill them out in full later) for your characters. If you have friends who are thinking of joining, remind them to contact the mods so we can get them invited to the wiki!
