GP - London Calling

[mist_mods]

It had been months now, and London remained. The mist hadn't rolled back in, they hadn't all been dragged back to the icy beaches, and life was normal. ...Sort of. ...At least for the people who'd started in London. For others it was like being dumped somewhere new again, forced to either try and make their way home, or build a new life in a new city.

(OTA! London is here to stay, though the mist is still lurking, waiting to creep back in now and then.)

"I don't think a weekend jaunt to Paris is going to uproot your life," Robin said. "Is there something else that's scaring you?"

[prince_of_nymphs]

"I suppose I'm worried that if I leave I wont be able to come back. Like I'll wind up back in my time, without any of you," Fin admitted.

[goodfellow]

"Well when it comes to that, I don't see why going to Paris would be any different than going to Soho," Robin pointed out. "Or, you know, take someone with you."

[prince_of_nymphs]

"Fear's rarely logical," Fin replied with a small shrug. "Maybe I will travel one day, I don't know, but right now I'm okay here, I think."

[goodfellow]

Even if he didn't understand, Robin certainly wasn't going to argue with him about it. "Well, what else do you want to do that you haven't been able to do before?"

[prince_of_nymphs]

"God, I dunno, Robin. I mean, just going to a grocery store and not counting every penny is a thrill," he confessed with a laugh. "It's all exciting , it's all new still. Money, my career, sex, friends, my flat. It's like finally living for the first time."

He raked his fingers through his long locks and then grinned brightly.

"I imagine I seem so terribly juvenile to you. You're so worldly and have lived so much- And here I am, excited to order take out or snog someone on a dance floor."

"Fin, everyone is juvenile compared to me," Robin pointed out. "I'm really not a good metric. But if you want to snog on the dance floor that's pretty easily arranged."

[prince_of_nymphs]

"You know what I mean," the fae chuckled. "If you could do something for the first time all over again, what would you do, Robin?"

[goodfellow]

"I'm... not sure," Robin said, frowning. "That's something I'd have to think about. I mean, we still do things for the first time all the time, at least when it comes to the specifics. I mean, at some point I fucked you for the first time... twice, actually, which I guess is a little unusual."

[prince_of_nymphs]

Fin laughed a little at that, pushing his hair back and blushing.

"Quite," he agreed.

[goodfellow]

"It must be exciting for you, though," Robin said. "Having so many firsts ahead of you. What else do you want to do?"

[prince_of_nymphs]

"God, I dunno," Fin admitted. "Everything. In time, everything. Or as much as I can."

[goodfellow]

"Well let's start now," said Robin. "Something you've never done, big or small. There's a lot at our disposal right here, though we can leave the club for it if you like."

[prince_of_nymphs]

Fin hummed thoughtfully, then laughed. "God, I dunno. You're really putting me on the spot, Robin. I mean this is kind of cool. I've never been in a private part of a club. Office or otherwise. Feels sort of posh."

[goodfellow]

"Well you can go wherever you like," Robin said. "Or, you know, sit behind my desk, raid the liquor cabinet, lay across the silk sheets in the bed next door. Call down and have an employee bring you whatever you like."

[prince_of_nymphs]

"You're very generous, Robin. ...You're very kind to me. You were very kind to him too, weren't you," he said softly- Almost apologetically.

[goodfellow]

Robin looked away from him, as if he were embarrassed, then just said, "I thought you didn't like talking about him."

[prince_of_nymphs]

"It's hard, but I'm living in his home. I'm wearing his clothes. ...I don't think I get to ignore him anymore," Fin admitted.

[goodfellow]

"Well I can't tell you what he thought of me," Robin said. "But he stood right where you are plenty of times."

[prince_of_nymphs]

"I know. ...Well, I didn't know it was here, exactly, but he kept a journal. You're in it. Lots of people are. Sometimes he doesn't offer up names, but he mentioned being in your office. I didn't make the connection it was in a club. ...It got very personal very quick, and I wasn't sure I should read the more intimate details. I don't know if he ever meant for anyone to see," Fin confessed. "I've just been skipping around, stopping on names I know. But I'm afraid to read too much."

"What did he say about me?" Robin asked, perking up a little, now genuinely curious.

[prince_of_nymphs]

"Some of it looked to be tales of time you'd spent together- Intimate moments, I mean. But a lot of it was just kind words. He called you beautiful, I remember that. He even had a sketch of you," he replied, trying to recall details.

Robin supposed that was good to hear, though if Fin had said anything bad about him he doubted this Fin would want to tell him.

"Did he include the bit where he role-played a priest?" he asked with a smirk.

[prince_of_nymphs]

"He might have?" Fin replied, looking a bit startled. "I didn't read the intimate stuff, like I said. I skipped over names I didn't know as well."

"Maybe he should have written romance novels," said Robin. Then he looked thoughtful. "I wonder if I'm in a romance novel. I'm in some paintings, you know. Anyway, Fin's a good actor though the priest thing didn't last long, he was too eager to be particularly convincing."
